Sold!

More Images: one  two  three  four  five  six  seven  eight  nine

This just in from Eastman. We ordered them in January when we heard Eastman was introducing OO 12 Frets, and have been anxiously awaiting them ever since; the wait was worth it. The first batch of these we got in sold in record time, just got in more.

Modeled after a late 30s Martin OO-18, the E10OO features a 20 year old solid Adirondack Spruce top and solid Mahogany back & sides.

Eastman procured 600 Adirondack tops that had been cut 20 years ago and forgotten about by their Adirondack supplier because they were too small for larger body guitars, but perfect for OOs. These guitars, especially with these tops will be very popular, grab one while you can.

Here is a new Dreadnaught from Eastman, the E40D in a sunburst finish. This guitar features exquisite inlays, and purfling in abalone, similar to the D45 inlays. This model was introduced at winter NAMM 2016 and just arrived.

Eastman handcrafted acoustic guitars cover a wide range of playing styles and sound. The Traditional Series (model names beginning with E) bring back memories of the great instruments of the Golden Era of guitar building. The E40D has an extremely dynamic response, from soft picking to hard strumming. A glorious full-bodied tone and room-filling volume, the Rosewood back and sides give it a bell-like tone. This one features a gorgeous sunburst finish.

The iconic shape of the Dreadnought is synonymous with acoustic guitars in general. Big and bold, these cannons are perfect for ensemble settings where the guitar competes for sonic space with other instruments or accompanying strong singers. The Dreadnought is the classic flat-picking bluegrass instrument.

Eastman AC822CE-FF

Designed by renowned Italian guitar maker Fabio Ragghianti, this unique instrument features a sound port on the upper bout for a spacious ambient voice. The ergonomically correct fanned fret design intonates perfectly and balances brilliantly.

The primary difference of a fanned fret guitar is to have a longer scale length on the bass side than the treble side, providing more bass and making the highs easier to play. There is more to it than that, but essentially that describes it.

The Fanned Fret is very easy to play, and if you don't look at the neck you can play it with no change to your playing style, it has a very natural feel. The design allows the bass to be fuller and richer, with more sustain, and the treble strings play easier. It improves intonation and makes the guitar in one players words "sound more like a piano." The positive neck angle relieves a lot of tension off the top, letting it vibrate more freely. Here is what Dingwall Guitars says about Fanned Fret Guitars: "The frets are fanned to allow for a longer scale on the bass side and a shorter scale on the treble side of the instrument. This solves a few problems: 1) No longer will the B-string sound darker and less distinct compared to the other strings. 2) The G-string retains warmth and normal tension compared to extending the scale of all strings. 3) You will no longer have to adjust your attack depending on which string is being played due to the more even tension from string to string. 4) You will no longer find the tone adjustments for one string interfering with another due to the more even tone across the strings. 5) You will no longer be unheard and ignored by your audience due to the combination of the longer scale low strings and the even tonality across all the strings"
